Definitely prefer it on, the quality really doesn’t change that much? Even on some of the biggest rigs. Especially for DJs who would mix a 174 track at 180. The pitch change would be horrible if you didn’t have it on.

I am going to use master tempo so that i can key match everything so much better.

Let's see how you will get on with live musicians not using Master tempo!

The newer players have better time stretching algorithms

Micro adjustments on the jog with it off are way more noticeable

Just make sure it’s near to the original bpm and you‘ll be fine.

I leave mine on. I play a lot of vocal house and some tracks sound better at 126BPM than they do at 120BPM.

I prefer listening to tracks when they’re pitched up higher and that’s why I’ve never used master tempo

Cant go without MT when mixing 175bpm to 192 or 203bpm

You can’t tell in a club that there’s a difference in sound quality, but you can tell if a tune is pitched up like a chipmunk, or doesn’t blend because it’s detuned

It works with some tracks but always have it off otherwise, no need to mix in key lol

Wish I could show this to some of the HardBase.FM DJs that play 150BPM tracks at 160BPM with MT On… The quality be lacking so much I can’t even listen to it. No names mentioned.

Ive never used it and just used the pitched up / down key to base the following track off. Tbf I don’t dj much but it’s good fun

there’s so much heavy sound design on the tunes that i mix, having it time stretch completely RUINS the sound and it sounds way different and worse, always master tempo off
