@sacramentourbanmedia916: A North Carolina man has pleaded guilty to killing his girlfriend and injuring her roommate after a dispute over their relationship, authorities said. #StephonDubose, 32, admitted to second-degree murder and attempted murder in the October 2023 shooting death of 30-year-old Angela Marina Risi in Durham. As part of a plea agreement, Dubose faces a prison sentence of between 35 and 44 years. Police responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Worth Street early that morning, where they found Risi and her roommate suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a hospital, where Risi later died. The roommate survived. Investigators said the incident followed an argument between Dubose and Risi over whether their relationship should be exclusive. After the shooting, Dubose was taken into custody at a separate location. Risi was a second-year graduate student in Duke University’s dance program. In a statement, the university expressed sorrow over her death and extended condolences to her family and loved ones.#fyp #viral
