@beautybehindmyscars: This is my story. Raw and unfiltered. In 2021, I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma caused by a genetic mutation. I was 44 years old at the time. I beat that cancer, but after nearly 35 surgeries, there was nothing else any medical team in Arizona could do for me. In December 2025, with the help from the community donations, I was able to make it to MD Anderson in Houston, where just days before Christmas, they ended up informing me that my cancer has come back. I had a MRI done which showed the cancer in my hard palate maxilla, pterygoid bone, nasal cavity and a lesion on the bone the protects the brain stem. This news has been a devastating for me…but I will not give up in this fight. 🥊 I will continue to share my story and raise awareness of this awful disease and fight for the proper resources and education and funding to help other people who have suffered through this as well. I have started chemotherapy again & my surgery will be on February 17.
