Ancient here. Typically “architectural scales” have inch markings for reading plans like you are. But “engineering scales” were in scaled in tenths for mechanical drawings. So I think you have an architectural scale.

That's an architects scale. I always known the engineers as 1:20, 1:100 etc. not to ancient. Still use them at the office

My dad owned a construction company. I never knew what those were for but I’d always throw them at my sisters because they made a nice sound as they him them then clanged on the floor. Now I know why he always go so bad when I’d mess them up lol.
