Big emotions are hard to manage, if it is hard for us as adults imagine how hard it is for them? I like to remind that to myself when I see my her getting upset... 💥 Here is what I avoid doing: ✅️ I try not to yell back: I am being a mirror for her, If my response is calm, she will respond calmly... (most of the time lol) ✅️ I avoid name calling (you little brat better stop yelling at me). ✅️ I avoid putting guilt on her (You are making mommy feel so sad...) ✅️ I avoid punishing (that's it no more toys for a week!) ✅️ I don't force apologies (say sorry right now!) ❤️ Instead I: ✅️ Set a boundary:
