TRY THIS CALF EXERCISE 🦵🔥 I’m going outside the box with this calf variation. I’m using a lying leg curl machine for SINGLE LEG SEATED CALF RAISES. And surprisingly, I really liked the way this movement felt. You can use a seated calf machine, Smith machine, or even a dumbbell on your thigh. But if your seated calf machine is taken, give this variation a try. When your knee is bent like this, you’re putting more emphasis on the SOLEUS. A lot of people focus primarily on the gastrocnemius, but building a thick, strong soleus can make a HUGE difference in the overall size and shape of your calves. Seated calf raises and donkey calf raises have always been two of my favorite calf exercises. Those “wings” you see on my calves are a combination of decades of seated calf work and the natural length and structure of my calves, which is genetic. But the SIZE took YEARS to build. 🦵 THE WORKOUT: Single Leg Seated Calf Raises 5 sets each position: 🔥 Heels in 🔥 Heels out 🔥 Normal stance 25 to 50 reps per set. That’s 15 total sets PER CALF. Rest when needed. Keep the reps slow and controlled. Change your range of motion. Use full reps, partials in the stretched position, and different tempos. Variation is key. 👉 Want the exact training methods I used to grow my calves from 13 inches to 19 inches? Get my NEW Calves Ebook.
