My 21 year old gelding, broke as can be, does the same shit! Some are just pullers. It’s scary and frustrating, but sometimes you just gotta do things like this to deal with it. I always have the cross ties with baler twine on the end so no one gets hurt. Blocker tie ring for cross ties I’ve never thought of!

I have a mare that absolutely cannot be tied at all. Doesn’t matter if it’s in cross ties or regular. She’s 14 this year- had a freak accident at 2. We just tell everyone that cleans the stalls not to tie her. And we all just accept it now. I’m not going to force her to change she wins too much to be try to change her.

#fencefund. I had a mare that I could tie up or up in cross ties at all. She would rear up , pull back and just freak out. So she was always just held in hand. Safer for her and everyone involved ❤️🥰
