I might try again, you’ve inspired me! I worked at an optician’s in the 90’s, I used to put those crazy cats eye, or colour changing, lenses in no bother. But then when I needed glasses I couldn’t manage lenses!?! I might try again 😖

I hate anyone going near my eyes, if the girls at work try and put make up on me I'm blinking like crazy, I had my eyes tested at work a while back and the girl in optics has to hold my head because I kept pulling away when they do that little puff of air 🤣🤣🤣

Aww brilliant Steph, I was the same and I have been wearing mine for over a year now, total game changer. If you struggle getting them in and out stick with it as it does get easier. A little tip for you when doing this do it over a sink just incase you drop one. I dropped one before and thanks to my little boys excellent eye sight he found it for me.

I have had to wear glasses for 47 years, had lenses from age 30. now wear bi focal lenses.. best thing ever, can't have op as both parents had cataracts so told not to as if I end up with it, I wont be able to have it sorted 😂

I remember my first appointment to try fit and remove contacts, it was at Asda’s opticians. Beryl kindly gave me a 20 minute appointment and literally stood over me watching, the pressure I felt with her there, judging me with her eyes because i was struggling. Turns out the problem was with her method of teaching. Telling me to pinch the lense to remove when it’s farrrrrr easier to slide it right to the side and it will lift itself out.

good luck Steph! I hope you managed to do it again at home. The optician workers needed a medal with me. I got upset too but they didnt give up on me!! 😭🤣🥰. back home was a whole new story but it was 100% my own fault for forgetting I had them in for over 24 hours 😂🤦♀️xx
