Guys that’s chain was caked up with will ruin the cogs and derailer you clean it like this of with soap water a brush and then use oil not GREASE

When you buy the bike wrap the chain in tape before the first ride. It’ll protect the chain longer and better than whatever it is you’re doing.

When I was a kid, I used to take my chain off from a nail on the fence hang it and oil it. This is a pretty good idea.
