@letsbetechs: Surprise surprise we got to know heat call. Downstairs I pulled the battery pack out and the thermostat went blank. Got a lift onto the roof was hoping to find a blown fuse. This one doesn't use fuses It has the little breaker built into the transformer. But it was not tripped. And ultimately we come to a conclusion that's going to lead to more future work. Yay! To clarify on the low voltage wiring, these boards just want a call for Y for cooling or W for heat even though it's a heat pump. So there is no separate call for the reversing valve. The board takes care of the reversing valve when it sees a call for Y or when it needs to defrost. So in this case W2 and W1 are all you have wired for heat. #hvac #hvacapprentice #hvactechnician #hvaclife
