Dawgggg I just installed one yesterday in an upflow in a closet. Old lady wanted to see it on and verify it works. Told her not to look I’d take a pic. This old woman stared right at it and goes “ahh that hurts my eyes” 😭😭😭😭

This is why every time I see a video of someone just staring at a Uv light I comment and educate them. Even saw a video of a guy with what I assume is his daughter , air handler door off, UV light kit full effect. I’ve had this happen twice. And after the second one. Couldn’t see for like 3 days. I learned my lesson. Idc if I know there’s a UV light inside. I’m turning power off at the breaker BEFORE removing any doors. Goodluck out there. Stay safe. (I heard If you wear polarized sun glasses, it’ll protect against it. I don’t wanna test it out for myself)

I had a call one time going to a customer’s house cause she didn’t know if her UV light was still working. I forgot all of my training and stared at it longer than 10 seconds and eight hours later I was in the emergency room and the doctor told me that I burned my cornea. The pain is crazy sandpaper pain, doctor bandage my eyes for two days and I was blind for 48 hours until I could take the bandages off and my site came back. Stay strong champ

I woke up in the middle of the night one time after installing one earlier that day. Couldn’t open my eyes due to the pain, they just burned and continued watering. Wasn’t cool
