@drb_unfiltered: In all seriousness, we’re all individualized. Sensory issues CAN and DO show up for people with ADHD…this isn’t just an autism thing, even though that’s what a lot of people assumes. For women entering perimenopause? Hormonal shifts can make sensory sensitivities that were never an issue before suddenly feel unbearable. Your body is changing, your nervous system is recalibrating, and intimacy can become a minefield you didn’t see coming. Education is everything here. You becoming informed about YOUR experiences from what pulls you out, what keeps you present, how your nervous system responds, all of that are the first steps in approaching things differently. Because sensory processing during s//ggs isn’t something you just get over or can ignore without consequences. It’s real, it’s valid, and it impacts int1m4cy in ways most people don’t fully understand. Disclaimer: This is education, not a solution manual.
