And this is why it is important to do proper research, have the correct support available and speak to locals/experts. So many people get in trouble on mountains, a lot could be avoided by proper planning.

I've been seeing a lot of the trekking to Everest base camp videos. And...why!?! Sounds like there is a constant stream of helicopters evacuating people as they get sick. WHY!?!?!
