In the past month we've been to Antigua and Lake Atitlán and this is what it looks like! More information below on how to plan your trip! 👇 We live in Guatemala City and travel often to the tourist destinations in Guatemala. We do this so we can provide the best advice but also because we love traveling around Guatemala! In our opinion, this is the best time of year to visit Guatemala! The weather is a bit cooler (which is why I'm wearing a coat in some videos and it's actually been pretty cold this week 🥶😂). However, it doesn't usually get too cold and definitely not too hot. The weather in Antigua and Lake Atitlán is near perfect right now! This is the dry season and the skies tend to have the least amount of cloud coverage right now. So if you want to see those incredible volcano views with limited clouds then I recommend coming right now! We also like this time of year because the tourist areas are not as busy as they were in December when many people were on vacation. Also, the weather gets warmer starting in March and the sun feels a bit stringer then. This is why why January and February are our favorite months to visit places like Lake Atitlán and Antigua which are the two most popular destinations in the country. If you want to plan a trip to visit Guatemala in February you could easily come for a one week vacation to visit Lake Atitlán and Antigua or even come for an extended weekend.
