Awe! My dog was abused before I got him. He absolutely loves to play with toys now. He has 2 toy boxes that are packed full and he constantly has to have all of them out and spread throughout the house. I pick them up but they last about 5 seconds in the toy box.

When we 1st got our puppy from a shelter she would take all her toys one by one and put them back in her crate. Now she runs the house and her stuff is everywhere lol

My dogs behave similarly, and both LOVE the same toys so I would buy two of each. I quickly discovered that they only wanted the toy if the other dog had it. They’re just jealous af, even if given the same toy they won’t even look at it🙄

The son of my Mom & son rescue was abused😭 he too never had toys until our home. He still has his first Cougar, Coogie and some more that he hides around the house. His mom rarely gets one😂 he destroys some, but Coogie is his fave

Oh my gosh get him a basket and fill it up. Every day or few days you get a new toy. It’ll fill up and he’ll learn he has to choose. Mine goes to his basket and rummages now for the one he wants. They are his favorite and it’s like a season. He was also a rescue who had never seen a toy before. Took him a while to learn what to do.
