People that don’t know about standing to the right of the escalator have never visited or lived in a big city.

Madame Tussaud’s is original to London. The first one opened in Baker Street

As a born and raised London, the first one is absolutely true. The others are rare, but Londoner’s do them. Red phone boxes do stink, and yes people do urinate in them, but the outside is a cute photo op and they represent London, also the significance of history the phone boxes hold, some beautiful scenes in filmed have taken place in those phone boxes, also just memories for some before everyone had a mobile phone. I agree with Camden, it’s just not what it use to be, definitely, maybe visit the roundhouse or catch a show at the Hempstead theatre close by. The wax museum, is over priced, but the once I did go I had a lot of fun with my family…it’s not that serious, the little John Soane museum I great, however, it’s small and can be done in half hour.

OK, the elevator situation I totally get and that’s me as an American. The rest it sounds like that London let areas get filthy and stop taking care of their local cities and streets. So locals they should be fighting to have those cities clean. Put an end into the scam artist that sell these “I love London” T-shirts all over the place. And make sure there’s actually quality souvenirs. As someone who lives in a tourist city in the US. Why not fight for quality tourist entertainment so you bring in tourist money?

We went to Camden market & lasted all of 5 minutes before we walked right out again. I have never been this overstimulated in my life 😂

I visited Camdon and Madame Tussaud’s in the nineties. For me as a seventeen year old teenager it was worth the visit at that time. Never repeated the visit after that (been to London many times after that)

I am thrilled to have stumbled upon your page! We are planning a trip there for the first time with our adult son who happens to be disabled....he uses a wheelchair and although we still have a year....I am trying to find information on how accessible London is .... planning ahead is key! Any suggestions or insight on how accessible it is and suggestions on accommodations... location.... feeling a bit overwhelmed tbh

Agree with Camden (barring the music venues), back in the 90s it was where you went to find the unusual. Now its just too much with the market far too narrow and packed. It seems like it's there just to Instagram.
