The world knew Ken Peplowski as a phenomenal musician a master of his art whose sound, generosity, and devotion to jazz touched countless lives around the world. I had the privilege of knowing Ken as a human being. He was humble, kind, gentle, and quietly joyful. He carried himself with grace, made people feel at ease, and lived without pretense. His goodness was not reserved for the stage it was who he was in everyday life. Above all, Ken loved deeply. The devotion he showed to his dog, Corky, was one of the purest expressions of love I have ever witnessed. He rearranged his life around that bond, choosing care, presence, and loyalty every time. That love spoke volumes about his character. Ken gave so much to this world through his music, through his spirit, and through the way he lived. His loss is profoundly unfair, and he will be missed far beyond words. I am grateful I knew the man behind the music. May his legacy live on in the hearts he touched and the love he left behind.
