“horse riding is so easy” but when i was 12, i went to my first fun show to run barrels and had an accident that was so bad that it made me scared of the sport i love. i haven’t ridden in 7 years, yet i yearn for it every day.

“it’s not hard anyone can do it” yea, but when a horse slips and rolls on you it could end you AND the horses career, im speaking from experience, i was lucky enough to walk away from all of my accidents with nothing more than bruises (idk if anything internally got hurt) and my horse was fine after but some of it is fatal for many, so just because anyone can do it, it doesn’t mean it’s not hard, just because you rode a horse once or twice in your life doesn’t mean you know if it’s hard or not.

I know this isn't the point of the video, but you can truly tell how amazing all of these riders are for keeping some control even in these situations. A lot of these could have been worse, as bad as they look already

So as a barrel racer myself, posting falls and stuff isn’t what makes it “hard”. It’s what makes it “dangerous”. If we’re going on what’s hard it’s more of how demanding it is on my mind and body after the fall not the fall itself. Not hating but it just kinda proves a bunch of points from guys sides.”
