I was travelling home from uni when I got the news my uncle died, I thought I was crying discreetly but the ticket inspector clocked me, patted me on the shoulder and drew a smiley face on my ticket 🥺 I still have it in my purse years later

Was coming home from work early one day in Central because I was having a uncontrollable panic attack and I was telling my mum through hysterical tears on the phone how alone I felt and how I wished I could be normal and make the anxiety stop and it was silent for a few minutes after with only like 2/3 stops left and then the girl in the isle in front of me suddenly said “I’m sorry to easedrop but I feel the same sometimes” and I laughed through tears AND THEN an older businessman behind me a few rows back said “Sorry to interject girls but me too, it hurts me so much” We spent the next 20 minutes just talking and crying together and I’ve never seen them again😭Unbelievable really because I was unconsolable feeling SO alone and suddenly it was like I was sent a sign out of nowhere

I was crying at work once (am a receptionist) when the plumber appointment came in early (they were 30 min early) one of the two middle aged men looked at me and just said „you‘re grieving right?“ turned aroune & Looked at his colleague and said „i‘m wanting a smoke“ and they waited outside until the 30 minutes passed. for some odd reason i felt really seen. couple weeks later they came again and he just smiled at me and said „being happy suits you“ because when they came in i was laughing with my coworkers 🤧 wont forget him

cried on a bus stop and a man gave me a waterbottle from a nearby greggs with a tissue saying "nothing is permanent. you can do this" and that bit of tissue is on my fridge to this day 🥹 such a wholesome moment.
