@mikewilmaca: Replying to @skokes! Harley vs Indian (Pros and Cons)! I’ve owned a Harley Davidson Iron 1200 Sportster, a Road Glide and now an Indian Challenger, these are my thoughts! #harleydavidson #indianmotorcycles #roadglide #challenger #indianchallenger
The biggest con, for me, on my Indian Scout is the small gas tank.

I buy and ride what my heart wants. I don’t care who’s better at what.

Both great bikes. The one thing about the Indian is the options. Have had both but the Indian seems to have the creature comforts that Harley doesn’t unless you buy a CVO. Suspension is also a big thing. Harley needs a $3,000 upgrade to ride like an Indian. Over all both good bikes when taken care of. Had both and love both TBH. Nothing beats the sound of the HD.

I've always owned Harleys but my Road King kept blowing head gaskets and decided to trade it in. I got a great deal on a 22 Challenger, what a night and day difference.

I own a Harley it’s my first Harley so I’m saying this with a little bit of bias you can’t go wrong with either one they are both excellent bikes you have the loyal people out there that’s going to be strictly one or the other you have that with anything, but if everybody was truly honest with themselves, you can’t go wrong with either one they both have their pluses they both have their minuses that all in all they are both good companies and they both make really good looking bikes

a simple Google search will tell you both Harley and indian went to using china and tiawanese parts/engines so both brands are a bad look in America 🇺🇸

The older older ones are better - not even that old line twin cams, evos, shovels. New ones $$$$ overpriced

Ultimately what it comes down to if you’re enjoying riding what you have doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks if you’ve got a standard if you have a metric bike, Indian Harley Honda Yamaha honestly the big thing if you’re riding good enough

They are both great. But go on a long trip across country and if your Indian breaks down. Nine times out of 10 the Indian dealer won’t get you in right away to fix you. But 10 out of 10 the Harley dealer will get you right in in front of everybody else so you get on your way. I know this from experience.!!

Both great bikes but the price is what is giving Indian a little nudge imo. I paid less for my fully loaded 2021 truck then the new 2025 Harleys

Harley has closed several dealerships, granted they still have more than Indian. A lot of places on their dealer network map are merchandise only locations. Still, they have more than Indian currently. I have both. Both have their ups and downs.
