@user6051679170: In 1961, engineers built the "Puffin"—a plane powered entirely by bicycle pedals. Despite having an 84-foot wingspan, it used no engine or fuel. Pilot John Wimpenny had to pedal manually to lift the aircraft off the ground. They were chasing the Kremer Prize, worth over $100,000 today, but ultimately failed to complete the required course. This remains one of the most unique experiments in aviation history. #AviationHistory #FlyingBicycle #1960s #Engineering #fyp video source: vibrant history
