ok so is this study talking about it as a learned behaviour from society (which is what happens 90% of the time but is never discussed in the field of psychology) or is presenting it as a disorder that we need to be compassionate about like they always do and it's BS?

can't judge by title alone but this seems like yet another failure by psychology and neurology researchers to acknowledge political theory which explains this phenomenon much better because superfluous neurological explanations for how something works instead of why make for more catchy titles

the cure I believe is rewiring the brains of people some how. they'll need to deal with the trauma that caused them to be different, medication or I imagine some kind of neuron pruning to sever the pathways that make them want to do this... the issue is people coming forward to get it fixed. people don't want to go to therapy for mild issues these days. they hide from themselves and their issues, unable to face the stigma. so I'm not sure how many will come forward. also not all who harm children are attracted to them. some do it just as a way to cause serious harm to others, which is still a brain issue but a different cause that would need addressing.
