@skyluxeroofing: Most homeowners think basement leaks start inside the basement. They don’t. Leaks usually begin outside your foundation, underground, where you can’t see them. When rain or groundwater builds up around your home, it creates hydrostatic pressure constant force pushing against your foundation walls. Concrete isn’t waterproof, and over time it cracks. Even hairline cracks are enough. Once water has nowhere to drain, it will always take the path of least resistance. Through cracks. Through joints. Straight into your basement. By the time you notice water on the floor or moisture on the wall, the problem has often been developing for years. Interior fixes might hide the symptoms, but they don’t relieve the pressure causing the leak. A dry basement isn’t about paint, sealers, or quick patches. It’s about proper drainage, pressure relief, and managing water before it reaches your foundation. Because water doesn’t guess. It follows physics.

or if you have sump pump it will capture it and drain it back out away from the house. Always best to grade the ground surrounding the walls away from the house regardless of the weeping tile being there.
