@The Nameless Narcissist can you do a video on smear campaigns? I have a feeling there is some type of connection between that and the topic in this video, while at the same time there’s cognitive dissonance there. On a separate note, would love to hear your thoughts on cognitive dissonance in NPD as well. Or do you/narcissists not really think in that way or realize when cognitive dissonance is happening because it’s so grey scale and narcissists typically think in a black and white (not grey scale) way?

Same but I have BPD. You’ve described it SO SO perfectly, it’s terrifying. It’s like the audacity that they were able to fool/hurt/injure me in any way makes me wanna “get back to them” by discarding them and devalue them

I am a narcissist and I read a lot about psychology because I want to understand myself better. What I often see online is a lot of clichés and stereotypes about narcissists, as if every narcissist is automatically evil. Reality is more complicated than that. Some people refuse to change, but some of us are trying to work on ourselves.

My NPD person struggled the most with not letting anything go. Even after the breakup they just continued thinking there was ownership there it lasted for almost a year the last breakup. as if the breakup didn't even exist in their mind

I left my ex narc without one word said. No closure, not one sound. I left with our son. He came home to an empty house after a death treat. No contact for 6 months now. This was not revenge but i was energetic empty and no energy left to even say something bc he would blame me anyway. So i gave him silence.

What a curious contrast. I’m avoidant with alexithymia, and my process is the exact opposite: when I discard someone, I don't feel hate or a desire for revenge; I simply 'switch off' my emotions, and the person automatically ceases to exist for me
