I cannot stand onions. Its like one of the only things that I gag the second I taste them. I grew up used to eating around them and picking them out of things. I went to a Halloween party where one of my friends brought homemade salsa, and he handed me my own little container. I was confused at first, but as if it was the most obvious thing in the world just went "I made a batch without onion" and I swear I nearly cried. I love my friends ❤️

I’m t1 diabetic (i can eat anything, i just need insulin) but my step-grandma thought it was type 2 when she married in the family, and for EVERY dish she would make an entirely separate “sugar free” dish that should plate up for me 🥺 it was too kind for me to tell her but I think about her all the time

I told my friend I loved the smell of sandalwood once during a convo. he told me he hated it. months later for my birthday, he gave me a candle he made himself, which smelled like sandalwood 😭

For a DND session, I offered to make Shrimp Alfredo for dinner, but only one wasn't a big fan of shrimp. They told me not to worry about it since everyone wanted shrimp. I took what they said, ignored it, and made some Chicken Alfredo as well as shrimp. They were so happy and the food was so good.

The majority of my friends know about my peanut allergy, but I have one friend that when he brings food to a get together or function, he always makes sure it’s safe for me. It’s become an inside joke that he’ll just lean over and go “It’s nutless”

I see a lot of noise (online mainly, though sometimes in person) of people thinking it's annoying having to make accommodations with food. I don't get it tbh, it fills me with a lot of joy to get to share food with friends and loved ones. I'd rather go the extra step to include them.
