@between_the_forks: You don't need a ton of acerage to provide food for your family! We technically have 5 acres total but do not use 3 because its unusable without a lot of work. BUT we have accomplished so much with the 2.5 acres we do have! I didnt mention that we planted a plot of blueberry bushes, some apple, pear and cherry trees, and had the room to raise more than 30 chickens, more than 4 goats, and more than 3 hogs! Of course so much happens in the home in the kitchen as well! but when it comes to land....even though a lot sounds nice, you dont NEED a ton. #homestead #homesteading #selfsufficient #chickens #pig
