too much pressure on that pipe you might need to put a regulator a hose pressure regulator goid luck i love it when the boss in the background is talking🥰

If your garage isn't heated and your water line is copper. It probably froze which will cause the pipe to break. You did turn the valve off but did to open the spicket to release the water and lessen the pressure. I do this every winter with my outside faucets. Then turn them back on, once I know the freezing temperatures are done (usually around April).
