The way I look at it, Pho is much more consumable on a daily basis because it's lighter and has a much less fatty broth, whereas ramen is a once-in-a-while indulgence because it's rich and fatty. Both are bomb tho.

Ramen in the US is treated like a novelty because of the Japanese glaze. It’s supposed to be a quick, small portioned, energy dense, and cheap meal. It’s cheap in Japan because it’s supposed to be cheap.
