People forget that the 2007 stuff wasn’t the only time the media ever criticized her, that girl had been criticized and blamed for stuff that is out of her control for her entire career. 2007 was the breaking point after years of dealing with abuse from the media and abuse from the paparazzi and even abuse from those around her.

This is a crazy take. Britney got a lot of hate but the revisionist history comes from the fact that at her core she was an incredibly talented and brilliant artist. Addison is giving “cosplaying Britney”. The reason she’s getting so much hate is because she skipped a lot of steps that she needs to be a great artist. Years of vocal training being one of them. She didn’t do the mall circuit or any part of the grind that shapes you into a fully realized artists. Putting Addison anywhere near the category of Britney is just false and no ones going to look back and call her a genius. At least not as a pop star. Maybe as a marketer
