plant originate from Madagascar and brought to Singapore as an ornamental garden plant. it's not a real palm. it's closely related to birds of paradise and the banana plant.

this is an "illegal" plant in Singapore. even tho it's so beautiful and the plant is used as a logo for many famous companies. bcz of the ability to collect rainwater.
