@thesistraining: This could be the reason your chest isn’t growing. Rolling your shoulders forward at the lockout of a chest press movement allows the front delts to take over the movement and reduces chest involvement. I had this very problem in the first few years of training. My bench press was limited by shoulder fatigue. My shoulders grew like crazy while my chest lagged behind. Someone advised me to start with shoulder retraction - squeezing the shoulders together while extending the arms way from you. Imagine crushing a can between your shoulder blades while pressing or during a chest flye movement. Another thing that transformed my chest was not pushing the weight away from me, but bringing my elbows together. This helps stop the shoulders from rolling forward as we lock out at exercise.
