Link to the recipe is in my bio. I’m a Tea Sommelier and this is week 8 of my cold brew tea series where I make a new cold brew every week this summer. This week, I’m making cold brew milk tea. I’m cold brewing tea in milk instead of water. This is one of the ways I make an iced tea latte. I tested and tasted a bunch of teas in milk and they all worked great, but my favorites were the 3 I’m cold brewing here, which is an Earl Grey, a jasmine green tea, and a chamomile. To make cold brew milk tea, I use the same method and ratio as making a tea concentrate, but instead of using water to cold brew, I’m using milk. You can use any kind of milk you like. I use 1 tablespoon of tea for every cup of milk. I made cold brew milk tea last summer, but I’ve tweaked the recipe a bit so more of the tea flavor comes through. Combine tea and cold milk in a glass container. Stir or shake the container so that all the tea is in contact with the milk. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours. Strain out the solids. After the tea is strained out, cold brew milk tea will last 2 days stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
