Assuming you were a EE college student, you missed something your entire college period that may have carried into your present career. What you missed is EE has nothing to do in fields of an electrician. In college you were bombarded with math, the sciences and engineering classes with the purpose of becoming in effect an analysts, a scholar that can easily adapt into any specific fields meriting deep analysis. Analysis requiring complex control forms, signal analysis, stochastic processes and on and on. You probably not aware but your analytical skills allowed you to quickly understand the polyphase topology of the phasing panel you described. Yes, college didn’t teach the distribution 3 phase panel you described. As an graduate of an EE, you have been given the analysis tools to analyze it yourself and understand it completely without being hand walked through it
