@shinediaries_: I’ve learned that the hardest part of being soft-hearted is not the pain itself but the restraint that comes with it. Even when someone breaks me, I cannot bring myself to hurt them the way they hurt me. Not because I didn’t feel the damage but because my heart was never built for revenge. So I carry the pain quietly. I let it sit with me, teach me, shape me. I don’t shout it back at the person who caused it. I don’t return cruelty with cruelty. Loving deeply has always been my nature and I refuse to let hurt turn that into something ugly. Maybe this softness costs me more than it should. Maybe it leaves scars no one sees. But I would rather ache with kindness than harden into someone I don’t recognize. My heart knows how to love, not retaliate and even broken, that is something I choose to protect.
