Does every retail and food service think like this? Cut everyone’s hours to hire new people when you could give more hours to the employees who work and hire one or two at part time to cover, how hard is that?

this is happening at my job rn I told them if they continue to cut my hours im quitting I'm one of 3 people that know how to do every aspect of the job I went from 2 shifts to 5 shifts I got them scared

I had a job ask me to help fill in at another location across state lines, but they were hiring employees for a lower position than mine at $3 more than I was being paid. The boss straight up said she’d still pay me less if she could even though I was working there 4 days a week
