I’ve received some criticism on here for sharing about red light therapy because people think it only works on the skin but that’s not true. RLT has become trendy in skincare spaces and I can imagine many brands selling red light are just for show. But the panel I have contains actual therapeutic wavelengths and NIR light that penetrates deep into tissues. They explain the science well on their website. When the brain isn’t getting enough blood due to cerebral hypoperfusion in POTS, the brain cannot signal mitochondria to produce energy. RLT activates mitochondria. RLT was also part of my treatment at functional neurology. I’m going to share studies on red light therapy in comments. I’m definitely not claiming red light a cure for anything.
