The U.S. hates women and you can’t convince me otherwise. I work in healthcare and I am getting 5 weeks of paid maternity leave. They gave me the option of 6 weeks unpaid after that but I still have bills that wouldn’t get paid then???

That's not true with first one. Yes you have 1 year maternity leave that's paid. But you only go for leave during pregnancy if there's reason and usually after 6 monts pregnant. It's easy to get because we abuse the system but it's not like you automatically go as soon as you find out about pregnancy.

In Latvia we get paid leave from 30 weeks pregnant till delivery. Then paid maternity leave up to 18 months.

ja na sali leżałam z 8 kobietami i był to dla mnie najlepszy tydzień jaki spędziłam w szpitalu, tak jak wtedy sie śmiałyśmy i wygłupiałyśmy to był hit, może dlatego miałyśmy taką głupawkę, bo to była sala dzieci urodzonych 1 kwietnia, bylo to 18 lat temu, ale z trzema z nich nam kontakt do dziś😂

Opieka po porodowa w polsce zmienia się na plus, rodziłam prawie 6 lat temu i już wtedy miałam pojedynczą salę i wiem,że szpitali oferujących takie rozwiązanie jest coraz więcej.
