I think if you keep focused on your main reason for doing it which is history you should be ok for a year or two. I’d be very very prepared for a t being a challenge though. It is not an easy life here. But if you have a goal and know that’s it’s just temporary and not forever and set your expectations sensibly it could be a fantastic educational opportunity.

I have moved back to Australia from UK and i miss it. There are issues in Australia too, but at least in UK you feel less isolated ❤️

That's what I miss is the history. Last year I joined Currumbin Wildlife Park Annual membership for $120 and it included National Trust Membership, so when we went to uk we were able to use the membership there to visit heaps of stately homes and castle's. If you buy National trust membership in uk it's £108 (over double the price).

It’s beautiful in summer - exploring the coast is exciting but people grow weary and forget that the UK has beautiful places - Lake District, Cornwall, Scottish coast and mountain ranges and many more including the history / you’re right. The dark weather is hard though. I loved Australia so much and miss it there.
