@teethladyrdh: Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) for gum tissue regeneration uses a patient’s own concentrated blood platelets, packed with growth factors, to accelerate healing and stimulate soft tissue regrowth in areas of recession or following periodontal surgery. This safe, natural, and minimally invasive technique reduces inflammation and pain while improving the success rate of grafting procedures. #prptreatment #tissueregeneration #gumrecession #periodontaltherapy #periodontalsurgery

You have a beautiful smile! Curious, do you think hormone replacement could help prevent? It certainly helps with other like tissues in our bodies.

Truth is, it doesn’t work. Depends on your gum tissue phenotype. Just accept how you are, it won’t cause you to lose your teeth.

Perimenopause triggers a significant decline in estrogen, which reduces collagen production, directly affecting oral tissues by causing gum recession, weakened periodontal ligaments, and decreased bone density in the jaw. I think I read there is also an increase risk factor for loss of at least 1 tooth in perimenopause assuming it has to do with tissue changes.

This is incredible! I’m a professional dental patient lol. I had recession from over brushing but had underlying dental issues. I had no idea you could do PRP for gums. I can’t wait to see how it turns out for you. The no brushing so long is scary!!!

The reason you have receding gums is because of acidity in your mouth. It's not genetic. Acidity irritates the gums. When the pH of your mouth is chronically acidic, the gum physically pulls away to protect itself from further irritation. Also, cementum, which holds your gums in place, is incredibly fragile and begins to dissolve at a pH of 6.7 (which is barely acidic). Once this anchoring layer is disturbed, the connective fibers holding your gum to the tooth detach, and the gum recedes further. Just look at how white your teeth are. It is not natural and a result of aggressive peroxide treatment. Peroxide is very acidic and very irritating to the gums. If it was strong enough to whiten your teeth, it was definitely strong enough to irritate your gums. @Gumladyrdh
