my mom's father died the day he found out he was adopted he was almost 7 ft she is over 6 ft herself.but the story never made sense to me until I learned of the orphan trains and he grew up in Minnesota and then tartarin baby makes sense. I'm sure his parents were locked away from sight and mind .thank you for your hard work spreading knowledge.

while cleaning a building in T. Pa. there were doors that were used an 9 ft there was 3 , different buildings that had them all had replacement 6'6" clue 1859 Drake well

my grandfathers brother was almost 7ft and one of my nephews is 6.8. i know there were alot of really tall kin folk back in the day.

My grandfather was 7'2, he had to duck and bend at the waist to get through damn near any doorway. He had to carve and build himself benches and chairs to sit on because normal furniture would not hold him. It was hilarious lmao drive anywhere with him because he had to slouch and bend down to the windshield to see. He took the drivers seat out and built himself a flush to the floorboard special seat just so he could drive. My oldest son is 6'5. my middle is 6'4 and my youngest just hit 6'2 at 16 and still growing....I myself am 5'10 although I'm starting to shrink with age.
