As of today only one family can become King in Lagos. And that family is King Ologun Kutere family. Ologun Kutere father was an ijesha Yoruba by tribe and he was a wealthy friend of King Ado. So you can easily say that present era of Oba in Lagos are descendants of Ijesha man. King Kosoko was a grandson of King Ologun Kutere. His father was King Eshinlokun. These people are only related to Benin through their mother side of their forefather king Ologun Kutere called Erelu …she was the King Ado daughter that married ijesha man that gave birth today’s Lagos King dynasty. So it’s technically wrong for the narrator to say Kosoko are descendants of Oba of Benin. Children follow their father linage not the mother side. This is the true history of kings in Lagos.
