I understand that it is utterly heart wrenching for the murder of any people. I have to say as a former Gnostic, I just want to say none of the Gnostic gospels were written by Thomas, Mary Magdalene, or any other apostle. The Canonical gospels: ~AD 60–95. The Gnostic gospels: ~AD 120–300. That’s generations after the apostles were dead. You can’t write eyewitness accounts when the eyewitnesses are long gone. This was a known ancient tactic called pseudepigraphy putting a famous name on a text to give it authority. Scholars across the spectrum, Christian, Jewish, secular or even Gnostics themselves agree on this. Just thought I’d throw that out there because I myself as a former Gnostic never knew they weren’t actually written by ANY of them. And if anything come from 2nd century Platonism.
