People don’t realize Indigenous means before colonization.

Yours states you’re African, right? That makes you indigenous to Africa.

If a company decided tomorrow that "African DNA" was actually defined by a group of people living in Brazil, their computers would start telling everyone they have "Brazilian" ancestry. The biology doesn't change, but the label does.

Yes, "Indigenous DNA" exists in the form of distinct genetic markers, often referred to as Native American or Indigenous ancestry, which reflect descent from the original populations of a region, such as the Americas or Australia. These genetic signatures can identify deep ancestry, but they do not prove tribal membership or cultural identity.

Acting like dna has categories for real is so un ethical. Like. Really bad. The more I look into it the more severe my stance gets.

if your dna matches to the oldest unique dna to the land u would be seen as indigenous to that land.

They don’t want a DNA test to show indigenous DNA. They have it but they’re not gonna use it because they want you to always go back to Africa theory.

People have a hard time understanding that those DNA test are only comparing their DNA to samples that they’ve taken from people around the world. It doesn’t actually give you your ACTUAL ancestry.

I don’t believe there is a unique gene to say someone is indigenous but I do believe indigenous peoples (e.g., Māori in Aotearoa, Aboriginal Australians, Native Americans, Pacific peoples, etc.) have distinct genetic patterns that developed over thousands of years in specific regions. Therefore making them indigenous to their lands. Considering the term indigenous means from the land or first to inhabit

That's partially correct, and I'll tell you why. In walks archeology and paleoanthropology coupled with genetic introgression, and reviewed under the process of elimination. The Tennessee and Ohio archeological records show that those lands were inhabited at the very least 40 KY BP. Topper, South Carolina has a date of 50 KY BP. The Calico, Labrea Pygmy, and Cerutti sites in California all have dates of 200, 200, and 130 KY BP respectively. In the late 19th and early to mid 20th centuries, from Colombia in South America up to Tennessee and Ohio, and as far west as California, the overwhelming majority of paleoanthropological records that were published showed that the earliest inhabitants of the Americas were unmistakably Negro; complete with dolichocephalic cranial morphology, platyrrhine nasal cavities, and subnasal maxillary prognathism, followed by mesocephalic crania and mesorrhine nasal cavities. The brachycephalic traits would not arrive in America until the early Holocene Era, with pale skin following many millenia later. As of to date, no Neanderthal, Homo Erectus, or Denisovan remains have been found in the American fossil records. In the 20th century, Radiocarbon, Uranium-Thorium, Potassium-Argon, Luminescence, Tephra, and other dating methods were introduced to archeology and paleoanthropology, and Molecular Clock Analysis along with Linkage Disequilibrium Decay Analysis were introduced to genetics for dating the mtDNA and Y chromosome lineages, and the autosomal recombination rates after the most recent common ancestor (TMRCA) as well. If you remove the time lines of mtDNA L3 subgroups alone, and compare the remaining genetic time lines against the paleoanthropological and archeological evidence, and genetic introgression time line evidence found in American Negro lineage, then you will see who is the strongest candidate for the American Aborigine/ Autochthonous/ Indigenous American DNA category. The ONLY candidate who easily fits in the "Indigenous DNA" category under this mountain of scientific evidence is the American Negro. The science shows that none of these other groups of people existed in antiquity comparable to the American evidence.
