I think diameter is much more important than lug to lug, personally. Diameter dictates fit more than lug to lug. In fact, I almost always ignore lug to lug, but I gravitate to 38mm watches.

Good content. There are a lot of misconceptions and a lot of content focuses on diameter. I thought I needed large watches for my 8 1/4” wrist but my current faves are 39&40mm. Also have 42&44mm watches that fit great.
