i think it's the first time im not excited about Marvel books besides Zdarsky's captain america and Jed Mackay's Moon Knight. That one world under doom event was so disappointing and too long. They are focusing too much on promoting the movies through comics .i was joking that after OWUD they would somehow announce another Doom series cause of the incoming movie and they actually announced one today.

I dont think ive bought a marvel comic in 2 years. I've followed marvel since '86. They've lost their way of telling continuous stories. it just seems to be constant reboots and rerealeses and big events. I miss the days of seeing characters grow from issue to issue. Nowadays it just seems to be every mutant becoming an omega level threat, every new villain is a cosmic threat etc etc.

The Ultimates (ending next month), Miles's book (which ended this month), and Moon Knight are the only marvel books worth reading right now. I cannot believe Spider-Man and X-Men's editorial teams still have jobs.

Truth above all :
In order for Marvel’s to move forward, they have to look backwards. They will have to look for writers, artist, and storytellers that can capture an audience and engage a a feeling that creates a new fan base. Marvel has an opportunity to get back into the realm of horror comics, military type comics, such as G.I. Joe, NAM, the howling commandos just to name a few. They have to create the next wave in next generation of books that will be considered highly collectible as they were in the 60s 70s and early 80s.
