I cannot get the image of my mum taking her last breath woth only me with her out my mind,. did she wait for me to be there with her? Could she hear me telling her how much we love her

I felt so close to my husband when he went into this phase. He showed his trust in me by relaxing into his dying rather than fighting. It was the most intimate time.

🥺💔 I have ptsd from seeing my mom like this. She requested to be sent home on hospice in order to leave the hospital but she wasn’t ready to die and when I saw this I called 911 she was in the hospital December 9th and passed December 10th 7:42am luckily we were there for when she passed but since she was intubated we never knew exactly when she passed no one told us anything until 2hours past. We had every right to know and I get so much pain thinking she was still alive

It is pretty traumatic and has basically made my fear of death even more prevalent watching my mom. She was on palliative care and to me I wish there was a way to just put someone to sleep and have things be done.

I was there for my Dad in 2009 and my Mum in December 2025 and held both their hands when they took their last breath 💔😢

My mum had three different types at the end while she had kind of the death rattle on and off for probably a week here and there, but at the end she had the death rattle then it went to loud snoring breathing and then pauses, and then from there it went to pauses in big gaps common. What exactly was that last pattern? That for me was the most disturbing
