Save your receipt and make sure it goes with you at the end of the year or whenever you leave. I had a kid with special needs and had to prove purchases because the school tried to claim items after purchasing for use at school.

if he has an IEP tell his parents to put that accommodation in the IEP and the school has to provide it. The IEP is legally binding and they can be sued if they don't follow.

This is exactly why I’m on my kids PTA. We raise tons of money for the school and the teachers put in a request for what they need and WE buy it instead of teachers!! Good job proving for your student when they school wouldn’t!
