It’s honestly quite sad to see the situation of the government in the Philippines right now. Filipinos truly deserve better. Here in Australia, healthy options like free-range eggs, quality chicken, and different yoghurt brands are just part of a normal grocery store. But back home, it often feels like you have to work extra hard just to access the same kind of food. What’s even more disheartening is that the Philippines has the capability to keep up when it comes to healthy food options, yet for many people, it’s still not easily accessible. Unless you shop in places like S&R, Landers, or Rustan’s, most grocery shelves are still filled with processed and high-sodium items. It really makes you feel sorry for the system and for the people because something so basic here is still a challenge for many back home. Filipinos deserve a system that makes healthy living accessible, not a privilege. 💔 The country has so much potential to provide better and healthier options for everyone, which makes it even more disheartening. Filipinos deserve a system where taking care of your health is accessible, not something you have to struggle for. Really hoping things improve over time for everyone back home. 💛
