I think the key question though that we’re finding out is what is abortion. If a child is not going to live as soon as it’s born, should the mother be forced to carry it to term? I had a friend whose baby did not really have a spine so there was no point in carrying it to term because it wouldn’t live outside the body. So the doctors recommended that they end the pregnancy even though it was past six months. There are many cases like that where they need to end the pregnancy to either save the mother or save the unborn child from suffering.
