When I was 18 my only best friend was a 65 year old hippy named Jimmy ! We met at the Waffle House drinking coffee playing chess. Jimmy never met a stranger he traveled across the world a veteran of the air force a Jewish kid from Brooklyn who wound up in SC . At that time in my life I was on downward spiral and I was moving in dangerous circles around people who didn’t care about me . Jimmy was out there he believed in god read his Bible but he also loved everyone he met even people who he disagreed with. He taught me so much about the world and how to be a sensitive caring person. His humility and compassion for others changed my life perspective and eventually my direction in life . Jimmy passed away from bone cancer a few years later and I really miss him . He was truly my first best friend . It’s not the age that matters it’s the friendship the feelings the caring for others . Live laugh love that was his motto in life!

I see nothing wrong with age gaps, as long as both people are legal adults and the age difference itself isn't the sole focus🥰
